About The Role
As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer Intern (FDE) at Juna AI, you’ll be part of a best-in-class AI and engineering team to contribute directly to high-impact industrial AI projects. You’ll work alongside senior engineers and customers to prototype and deploy innovative, data-driven solutions for automated process control and scheduling. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience applying AI to critical challenges in the manufacturing sector.
Core Responsibilities- Support AI Projects: Work in small teams on core technical tasks in support of customer-facing AI deployments.
- Build Large-Scale AI Workflows: Develop and implement AI workflows that operate on a large scale, addressing complex industrial challenges.
- Hands-on Prototyping: Implement rapid prototypes for experimental features
- Collaborate with Customers: Interact directly with clients to understand their needs, and ensure our solutions meet their goals.
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner with engineers, researchers, and product leads to develop practical AI applications.
About You
- Background: BSc, MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related technical field
- Analytical and Curious: You enjoy solving tough problems and are motivated by applying AI beyond the lab.
- Foundational AI/ML Skills: You have a strong understanding of machine learning and programming in Python or a similar language. (Bonus: Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn)
- Fast Learner: You’re proactive, excited to learn quickly, ask questions, and work with technologies that are new to you.
- Team-Oriented: You thrive in collaborative settings and are open to feedback and mentorship.
- Bonus: Familiarity with time series data or control systems.
