Forward Deployed Engineer

Location: Paris, France (Hybrid: office days on Mondays & Thursdays)

Languages required: English & French

Seniority: Mid-to-Senior Level (5+ years experience)

Contract type: Full-time, Permanent

Everything you own was made somewhere. The companies that make it run on coordination, across shifts, sites, and thousands of daily decisions. Most of that coordination still happens on whiteboards. Fabriq is the platform that changes it, bringing structure, visibility, and continuous improvement to the teams that keep the physical world running. Safran, LVMH, Scania, Danone… 70+ countries.

Most technical roles put you on one side of a wall. Close to the customer, and your product insights die in a backlog. Close to the product, and the real problems never reach you. Here, there is no wall.

Industrial organizations run complex, layered architectures built over decades. Getting Fabriq to operate inside that reality: connected, trusted, and adopted across sites; is what this role is built around.

The Role

Some deals are won in the engineering room, not the boardroom. Working closely with the Sales team, you engage technical stakeholders early, IT leads, security teams, architects, and speak their language with enough depth that questions become confidence.

Postsignature, you go deep. You learn how the customer operates their workflows, their systems, their constraints, and identify where the right integration unlocks measurable operational value they haven't captured yet. You understand what each use case is worth before you design toward it. You turn the use case into an architecture that can survive production, and you stay close until it does.

When an account runs Fabriq onpremise, airgapped networks, lockeddown factory infrastructure, environments where a misconfigured dependency is the difference between a live system and a failed pilot, you go onsite. You don't leave until it runs.

Then comes the part that defines this role.

Over time, patterns emerge across accounts. The same platform limit showing up in different environments, blocking the same category of value. You're the one who sees it first, and the one who builds through it. Not incidentally. This is expected. The integration capabilities you ship directly expand what Fabriq can sell, deploy, and deliver at scale. Your work in the field changes the product. Every time.

This role sits at the intersection of Fabriq's most strategic accounts and its core integration architecture. What you learn, build, and ship here determines how far and how fast Fabriq can grow into the most complex industrial environments in the world.

Who You Are

Background

  • 5+ years owning technical outcomes end to end, across presales, integration architecture, and production delivery, not as a contributor, as the person accountable for whether it works

  • Solid software architecture experience, you've designed systems at scale that others built and depended on in production

  • You've been in presales conversations where your technical judgment was the deciding factor

  • You've shipped to a real product codebase, integration capabilities that changed what the platform could do

  • Some deployments operate in sensitive or regulated environments and may require eligibility for security clearance

Technical

  • Deep familiarity with enterprise integration patterns, authentication protocols, eventdriven architectures, onpremise deployment, and the judgment to design under real constraints, not ideal ones

  • Comfortable in constrained infrastructure environments, airgapped networks, lockeddown systems, you know what you're walking into

  • You write productiongrade code across integrations, deployment tooling, and platform extensions, when the right answer is product, not process

How you work

  • You listen until you find the problem underneath the problem, then you know exactly what it's worth to solve it

  • You're proactive by default, you don't wait for ambiguity to be resolved, you resolve it

  • You communicate with precision across technical and nontechnical audiences, in writing and in the room

  • You keep complex integrations on track, across timelines, stakeholders, and competing priorities, without losing sight of what matters

  • You make the people around you sharper, you share what you learn, you document what works

  • Manufacturing experience is a plus. Curiosity about operational environments and the instinct to find where real value lives, that's what this role runs on.
