Role summary
As a Forward Deployed Engineer Data, you’ll build robust data systems that support the deployment of AI agents in high-compliance environments. This includes creating evaluation datasets, partnering with customers, and refining data and context strategies across verticals like insurance and healthcare.

Tech environment

Responsibilities

  • Build evaluation datasets and frameworks for regulated domains such as claims processing and audits

  • Translate deployment feedback into tangible improvements

  • Collaborate with customers and solutions engineers to assess outputs and refine strategies

  • Ensure contextual consistency and performance in LLM-based workflows

Must-have qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience working with NLP/LLM datasets or evaluation pipelines

  • Hands-on experience with AI models or systems

  • Experience partnering with customers on data preparation, model assessment, and strategy refinement

  • Familiarity with enterprise document workflows (e.g., insurance, legal, healthcare)

  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure environments

  • Excellent communication skills and a highly personable demeanor

  • Startup experience (ideally in the AI space)

Preferred qualifications

  • Background at both Big Tech and fast-scaling AI startups

  • Prior experience at companies like Scale AI or in roles such as Data Scientist, FDE, or Context Engineer

  • Exposure to customer-facing deployment or enterprise solution roles

  • Experience with document intelligence, claims workflows, or contract analysis
