The concise version

We seek an engineer who cannot stand hearing the phrase "that's not my job."

Someone capable of sitting down with a Fortune 500 CTO, breaking down a complex business challenge on a whiteboard, designing a solution by midday, and having their team deploying production code by week's end. Someone who wields AI tools like a chef handles knives — naturally, regularly, and with remarkable skill.

If your career has involved building systems that truly run in production (not just demos gathering dust), keep reading.

Your actual responsibilities

Take ownership of the outcome, not just the deliverables. You won’t just handle tickets. Embedded with the client, you'll gain deep insight into their business, identify the underlying issues behind stated problems, and drive solutions that increase revenue, reduce costs, or unlock new capabilities they hadn’t imagined. You collaborate with the client, design the solution, lead the development team, and ensure it not only launches in production but remains effective.

Lead and develop your team. You’ll manage engineers directly. Your role goes beyond instruction — it’s about multiplication. You’ll coach, mentor, and cultivate the next generation of FDEs. Your success is measured by when a team member is ready to step into your role.

Be consultative, never compliant. Clients sometimes request precisely the wrong things. Your role is to uncover what they truly need, advocate for it, and deliver superior solutions. This requires courage, business savvy, and strong communication to bring everyone along.

Advance the frontier with us. This is more than a client services position. You join a close-knit team of high-level FDEs who are redefining enterprise software delivery. You’ll contribute to internal R&D by creating playbooks, tools, and frameworks that enable this new model. Think of it as building the airplane mid-flight — where the airplane is the future of enterprise software delivery, and you’re redesigning the airport simultaneously.

What you gain

This is your front-row seat to a seismic transformation. AI is fundamentally reshaping enterprise software delivery, and you won’t be reading about it — you’ll be driving it. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers equally passionate about this shift, tackling unprecedented challenges and authoring the playbooks for future teams.

You’ll wield genuine ownership — not just the kind found on a startup poster, but ownership where your decisions directly influence multi-million-dollar enterprise results, and your name stands behind them.

Requirements

Our requirements

Essential qualifications:

  • 7+ years of engineering experience, with substantial time delivering enterprise solutions. Experience with US enterprises is highly preferred — you understand the fast pace, key stakeholders, compliance complexities, and how to navigate them.
  • Production experience is your passion. You have developed systems relied on by real users at scale. Proofs-of-concept that never shipped don’t count.
  • AI-native workflow. You don’t merely "know about" AI tools — you live in them. Copilots, code generation, AI-assisted architecture, automated testing — these are your everyday tools. You actively explore new AI technologies and integrate them proactively.
  • Earned leadership, not just titles. You have led teams, formally or informally. People follow you because you elevate their skills, not because an organizational chart says so.

Desirable attributes:

  • A degree from a Tier 1 institute in India (such as IITs, IIMs, BITS, NITs, or equivalents) or experience with a Tier 1 company that commands recruiter excitement. While we prioritize what you’ve built over where you studied, pedigree often aligns with the rigor and ambition we seek.
  • Background in consulting, professional services, or forward-deployed roles where you balanced deep technical expertise with business understanding.
  • A history of confidently saying "here’s what we should do instead" — and being right often enough that others began to listen.

Who should avoid applying

  • Engineers who prefer to isolate themselves and focus solely on coding. (We respect this preference, but it’s not the right fit here.)
  • Individuals who require complete specifications before beginning work. (You will often be the one crafting the specs.)
  • Those who think “delivered” means “merged to main.” (For us, delivered means the client’s business has changed.)
  • People who view mentoring as a burden rather than an opportunity to create a legacy.
