About the Role:

‍Base Salary: $170K - $200K*

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Growth team in our New York City HQ. Kalepa’s clients include some of the largest insurance carriers and MGAs (Managing General Agents) in the world, and the Growth team is responsible for delivering outstanding value to our clients via Kalepa’s SaaS platform.

This is a high-impact, client-facing role that combines relationship building, software development/implementation, analytics, and strategy to drive measurable value for some of the largest insurers. You’ll work directly with Kalepa’s clients – including underwriters, IT and Operations leaders, and executive leadership – to design, configure, and deliver Kalepa solutions that drive real business value. Specific elements of the role include: 

  • Mastery of Kalepa's SaaS platform
  • Evaluation of client feedback to surface clear product ideas and improvements, and then execute to deliver those improvements to clients
  • Foster and own trust-based relationships with underwriters and executives alike
  • Drive and manage real-time integrations into our clients’ existing systems
  • Lead 1:1 and group user sessions to gather feedback, educate, and ensure clients are getting the utmost value from Kalepa
  • Leverage large datasets to analyze the impact on client KPIs
  • Travel to clients will be required and encouraged where practicable 

You will be expected to take ownership of and develop Kalepa’s Growth team, in partnership with and reporting to the VP who leads the group. 

About You:

  • 4+ years in an enterprise SaaS role with client-facing experience
  • Strong software engineering foundation – coding experience in OO languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, etc. Degree in fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics / Physics, or Data Science strongly preferred
  • Based in the greater New York City area
  • Commercially oriented, data-driven, and excited to scale a world-class SaaS product
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong communicator with a focus on transparency and action - you value open, frank, and respectful communication
