Forward Deployed Engineer, Sweden

We are seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven automation solutions for enterprise clients. This is a senior, cross-functional role that bridges hands-on engineering, system integration, and client collaboration.

The Forward Deployed Engineer will work closely with client stakeholders - typically across operations, IT, and business process teams (e.g., call centers and customer support organizations) - to understand existing workflows, identify high-leverage automation opportunities, and deploy localized AI agents capable of augmenting or replacing manual processes.

You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical architecture, mapping system interactions, integrating Wonderful’s platform with client systems, and delivering production-grade AI agents. In addition to technical implementation, you will advise clients on automation best practices, scalable deployment patterns, and responsible use of AI-based systems.

• 5- 8+ years in software engineering, technical deployment, or related roles, with proven experience delivering complex systems in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of system integration, APIs, and enterprise software ecosystems (e.g., CRM, ERP, telephony, ticketing systems).
• Hands-on experience building or deploying systems powered by LLMs, conversational AI, or automation agents.
• Proficiency in modern engineering stacks (Go, TypeScript, Python, or comparable).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), on-premise deployments and scalable software architectures.
• Ability to analyze client business processes and translate them into structured automation and AI agent designs.
• Proven experience documenting system architecture, data flows, and integration specifications.
• Experience working in growth-stage companies or building new operational capabilities.
• Excellent English (written and spoken) plus fluency in at least one local language.
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence - able to lead both technical and non-technical conversations with confidence.
• Outcome-driven, highly independent, and comfortable switching between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
