Technical Implementation Manager / Forward Deployed Engineer

comstruct automates construction companies’ commercial processes by extracting material data from delivery notes and invoices at the item level, enabling automated documentation, invoice entry, reconciliation, and workflows. The Technical Implementation Manager / Forward Deployed Engineer is the engine behind our customer go-lives. This is a highly operational, "builder" role designed for someone who is technically proficient but wants to stay close to the business value. You will own the end-to-end deployment of comstruct, ensuring integrations are scoped accurately and implemented efficiently. Crucially, you aren't just building for one-off success; you are architecting a scalable solution library and modular components that will be reused across our entire customer base to accelerate future growth.

As a hybrid company, we value in-person collaboration and expect employees to work from our Munich office 3 days a week.

What you will be building 🏗️

1. 60% Technical Execution: Building at Speed

   • Hands-on Implementation: You’ll dive deep into Python to configure platform environments, architect custom integrations, and orchestrate seamless data flows.

   • The "Delivery First" Mindset: We value sophisticated logic, but we prioritize functional impact. You’ll build robust, production-ready solutions where the goal is immediate reliability over theoretical perfection.

   • High-Velocity Autonomy: We operate in a fast-paced environment. You’re the type of builder who can watch a complex technical workflow once and masterfully execute it the next time without a safety net.

2. 40% Scoping & Project Ownership: Owning the Implementation

   • Independent Technical Discovery: You’ll lead the charge in defining integration requirements and milestones. You are the primary technical authority in the room, capable of navigating client meetings and discovery sessions solo.

   • End-to-End Delivery: From initial handover to the final "go-live," you own the timeline. You’ll proactively identify bottlenecks, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure every project crosses the finish line on schedule.

What you need to succeed ✨

• Strong Technical Foundation: You bring hands-on experience with coding and technical problem-solving, including working with APIs, workflows, scripts, and system integrations. You’ve built and shipped functional solutions, either in previous roles or through demonstrable personal project and can quickly understand and troubleshoot complex technical setups.

• High Ownership & Accountability: You are comfortable operating in fast-growing environments where priorities evolve and structure is still being built. You manage your own time effectively, take responsibility for outcomes, and consistently follow through without the need for close supervision.

• End-to-End Project Ownership: You are motivated by owning customer implementations from discovery through go-live and stabilization. You enjoy leading solutions, making informed technical decisions, and balancing multiple parallel customer projects while maintaining quality and timelines.

• Clear Communicator Across Stakeholders: You communicate confidently and clearly with both technical teams and business stakeholders, translating requirements into practical technical solutions and explaining complex topics in an accessible way. You are fluent in English and German.
