As a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll help transform how our customers make critical business decisions by onboarding them onto Taktile and ensuring they get real value from our platform. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll support customers in reaching their goals and maximizing Taktile’s impact.

If you’re passionate about tech and AI, and have experience with Python, SQL, and REST APIs, you’ll thrive here. This role is also open to fresh graduates.

What You'll Do as Lead Forward Deployed Engineer

  • Lead and manage onboarding projects from start to finish, delivering an outstanding customer experience and ensuring clients achieve rapid time to value with Taktile.

  • Apply your problem-solving skills, creativity, and technical expertise to build impactful solutions on the Taktile platform. Your day could include designing solution architectures that address customer needs, develop decision logic and AI agents for complex business challenges, and collaborate closely with key customer stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Partner with Taktile’s product management team to transform your insights from customer interactions into actionable product improvements, directly shaping the evolution of Taktile’s product roadmap.

  • You play a key role in scaling the forward deployed engineering function by creating reusable resources, best practices, and tools that share your expertise and drive organizational growth.

  • You actively coach and mentor junior Forward Deployed Engineers, supporting their development and success.

About You

  • You know how to build strong customer relationships with stakeholders across different levels of seniority and including both technical stakeholders in an organization (e.g. Principal Engineers, Data Scientists) as well as business stakeholders (e.g. Risk Managers, Credit Analysts).

  • You excel at planning and managing project scope, expectations and timelines. You will need to manage multiple projects across customers that will be at different parts of their journey with Taktile.

  • You are humble and have a growth mindset, with a willingness to learn new skills and methodologies and bring best practices into our business.

  • You are curious and customer-centric. You enjoy learning about our customers’ businesses and helping them solve challenges.

  • You are creative and proactive - you’re always looking for ways to stand out with customers.

  • You have strong technical background, preferred in fields in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, and Data Science

  • You possess a strong understanding of REST APIs. You have excellent knowledge of Python and SQL.

  • You are collaborative and work well with your peers in Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering and the Customer Success team.

  • You have excellent written and spoken English.

Ideal Qualifications (but not required)

  • You have 6+ years of experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solution Engineer, Implementation Specialist or an equivalent position within a B2B SaaS company (e.g. internships).

  • You have experience in building AI applications.

  • You have experience in applying and optimizing statistical and machine learning models to solve business problems.

  • You have experience with at least one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • You are fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
