About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of our client - a fast-growing AI technology company transforming enterprise operations across procurement, inventory, manufacturing, and logistics in Asia.

As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will lead the technical delivery of real-world AI deployments. You'll work directly with enterprise customers to scope, build, and operationalise complex AI-powered systems using the company's flagship platform. This is a high-ownership, end-to-end engineering role - ideal for experienced engineers who thrive in ambiguity, want direct customer impact, and are ready to shape the future of intelligent enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own customer engagements from discovery through deployment acting as the primary technical contact.
  • Design and lead Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and production deployments with clear success metrics.
  • Integrate enterprise systems (e.g., ERPs, supply chain platforms) and build robust, scalable data pipelines.
  • Design and customise intelligent agentic workflows for client-specific use cases.
  • Deploy and optimise system performance in production environments, working closely with DevOps.
  • Contribute to product engineering, surfacing client needs, improving core components, and writing production-grade code.
  • Mentor junior FDEs and contribute to internal knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 4–8 years of experience in software or data engineering roles.

  • Proven ability to deliver production systems in live customer environments.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals: design, testing, debugging, maintainability.
  • Experience with APIs, data integration, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Able to operate independently in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with enterprise systems (ERP, procurement, logistics, etc.).

  • Familiarity with AI/LLM agentic workflows or decision engines.

  • Knowledge of containerisation (Docker), Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).

  • Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Interest in mentoring and raising technical standards within the team.
