About Our Client
Our client is a 5-person, seed-stage startup in San Francisco with over $1M in revenue and a mission to protect users from fraud, spam, and abuse using advanced AI agents. Their customers include global enterprises like Fox Corporation and Medium, and they’re on track to raise a Series A later this year.
Why Join Them?
This is a rare opportunity to join an early-stage company with outsized traction, $200K–$300K enterprise contracts, and serious real-world impact—including helping identify threats that have led to arrests. You'll work directly with founders, ship fast, and own critical customer integrations that power AI-based investigations across billions of events.
Role Overview
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll take full ownership of integrating our client’s AI platform into complex customer data environments. You’ll act as the technical face of the company, collaborating closely with operations teams, engineers, and analysts across Fortune 500 clients. This is not a typical 9–5: the team operates on long hours and high trust, and is looking for someone ready to go all-in.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end technical integration and onboarding of enterprise customers
Translate complex customer data workflows into actionable implementation plans
Configure event types, workflows, data ingestion pipelines, and webhooks using no-code internal tooling
Partner with the CTO to troubleshoot deployment challenges and prioritize features
Serve as the primary technical point of contact across operations, engineering, and non-technical stakeholders
Non-Negotiables
3–7 years of experience in customer-facing technical roles (e.g., Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Implementation Consultant)
Experience working directly with enterprise customers on technical deployments
Strong communication skills and executive presence; able to interface with everyone from BPO teams to directors and engineers
Background in Computer Science (degree or equivalent experience)
Technical proficiency in Python, Java, or TypeScript — even if not writing code daily, you should be able to reason about systems and APIs
Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco (this is a 100% in-office role, including weekends when needed)
Nice to Have
Experience at high-performance enterprise SaaS companies (e.g., Palantir, Databricks, Snowflake, Salesforce, C3 AI)
Familiarity with Generative AI concepts (e.g., prompting, RAG, model types)
Past roles blending engineering and product exposure (e.g., software → SE → PM)
Experience working in lean, early-stage startup environments

Equity: 0.50% – 1.00%
Benefits: Competitive startup benefits, with the unique opportunity to shape foundational customer success processes at a high-growth company
Location
On-site in San Francisco (Salesforce Park office). This is a high-commitment role with long hours, including weekend work.
