Resaro builds custom AI testing software that helps organisations validate the performance, robustness, and safety of mission-critical AI systems — spanning computer vision, generative AI, and autonomous systems. Our clients include government, military, and commercial organisations deploying AI in high-stakes environments. We work through embedded teams deployed on-site or closely integrated with our clients.

We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to be the bridge between our platform and our customers. You'll deploy our AI assurance platform in complex customer environments, build last-mile integrations, and support pre-sales with rapid prototyping and technical demonstrations. This role combines deployment engineering, software development, and customer communication — all in regulated, high-stakes settings.

What You'll Do

• Deploy and configure AIP in customer environments, including air-gapped and on-premise settings
• Build last-mile integrations connecting our platform to varied customer infrastructure
• Own first-line bug fixing, platform updates, and issue resolution at customer sites
• Develop client-specific customisations and new custom modules from requirements through to delivery
• Support pre-sales with technical workshops, proof-of-concept builds, and rapid prototyping
• Provide L1/L2 technical support and customer onboarding
• Execute existing test plans for customer use cases and adapt reports for customer stakeholder presentations
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical customer stakeholders
• Feed field learnings back into the core product team (~20% of capacity)
  

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of software engineering experience, with customer-facing deployment exposure
• Strong proficiency in Python and at least one additional language
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and deploying applications in varied infrastructure environments
• Comfort working independently on-site at customer locations with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills: ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Problem-solving under pressure: diagnosing and resolving issues in production environments
• Experience writing documentation, handover notes, and customer-facing technical material

Nice to Have

• Experience in defence, pharma, or other regulated industries
• Experience with air-gapped deployments and restricted environments
• Pre-sales or solutions engineering experience
• ML/AI background: familiarity with model deployment, fine-tuning, or evaluation
• German language skills (for Munich-based roles)
• Experience with DevSecOps and security-hardened environments

• Independent operation: You must be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision, manage ambiguity, and make sound technical decisions.
