The Role
As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer at Northslope, you will help customers solve their most valuable problems by working directly with stakeholders to conceive, architect, build, and maintain applications that measurably impact their business. You will deeply understand customer objectives and transform enterprise data into operational workflows that end users rely on to drive change.
This is not a role where you just ship code—you will actively help reshape how entire organizations operate by delivering powerful tools directly into the hands of executives and operators. You will build from scratch, iterate rapidly, and help customers transform at uncommon speed.
What You’ll Do
Work directly alongside customer stakeholders to understand their most critical objectives
Design and build operational workflows on top of enterprise data used in real production environments
Architect, build, and maintain end-to-end applications that drive measurable business impact
Iterate quickly and deliver solutions from zero to production
Embed with customer teams and integrate into their day-to-day operations
Translate ambiguous problems into robust, scalable software solutions
Travel to client sites for implementation and delivery as needed (typically 10–33%)
What We Look For
Strong customer obsession and a commitment to delivering real value beyond original scope
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex problems
Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
Ability to independently own outcomes and operate autonomously
Experience building production applications using large structured and unstructured datasets
Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable real-world outcomes with software
Strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
Willingness to travel for client implementations
Enthusiasm for working hybrid-in-person at our office hubs and onsite with customers
Preferred (Not Required)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science
Experience with Palantir Foundry and/or AIP
Experience delivering production ML and/or LLM-based solutions
Experience building production frontend applications in React
Experience with Spark and distributed compute
