Founding Forward Deployed Engineer

New York City 

$140,000 - $210,000 + Equity

Revive Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing, venture-backed AI startup that is transforming complex operational workflows through AI agents and automation. Having recently secured funding and experiencing significant growth, they're looking for a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers, shape product direction and help scale an AI platform already delivering real-world impact.

What You'll Do

• Partner directly with customers to understand operational challenges and translate them into scalable product solutions.

• Own projects end-to-end, from technical discovery and implementation through to deployment and ongoing optimisation.

• Work closely with engineering teams to build, test and ship AI-powered workflows and agent-based solutions.

• Help shape product direction by bringing customer feedback and real-world use cases back into the roadmap.

• Contribute to platform reliability, automation, evaluation frameworks and deployment processes.

• Operate at the intersection of engineering, product and customer success in a highly collaborative environment.

What You'll Have

• 2-5 years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Software Engineering or similar customer-facing technical roles.

• Strong experience with TypeScript, SQL and AWS in production environments.

• Experience working in startup environments with end-to-end ownership of products or platform components.

• A passion for AI, LLMs, automation and solving real-world business problems.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders.

• Evidence of building outside of work, whether through GitHub projects, side projects, open-source contributions or personal products.
