Location: Arlington, VA area (Remote within local commuting distance)
Salary Range: $170,000 – $200,000 (DOE) + Comprehensive Benefits

Overview:

Osprey Talent Solutions is supporting a national security partner seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to lead technical delivery for a data platform supporting Army operational analytics and decision support capabilities.

This role serves as the senior technical lead responsible for architecture, CI/CD implementation, and the delivery of production-ready analytical dashboards used by government stakeholders.

The Role:

As the Senior FDE, you will lead development efforts across the data platform environment, own pipeline architecture, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring high-quality delivery of operational analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines supporting build, testing, deployment, and environment promotion workflows
• Develop and iterate on analytical dashboards delivering operational metrics and real-time insights
• Define automated testing, validation frameworks, and release confidence checks
• Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting aligned to platform architecture patterns
• Implement governed metrics and reusable data logic aligned to platform ontology models
• Participate in agile sprint cycles including planning, standups, demos, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with government and integration partners to align technical architecture and deployment processes
• Deliver technical documentation, configuration baselines, and operational runbooks
• Provide troubleshooting, defect resolution, and ongoing enhancements
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance

Qualifications:

• Deep hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry including pipelines,
• Workshop or Slate, ontology configuration, and platform development workflows
• Approximately 8 or more years of software engineering or systems integration experience
• Experience delivering CI/CD pipelines and operational analytics platforms in secure or government environments
• Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, or Java within data platform environments
• Active Secret clearance required at time of hire. Sponsorship is not available
• Experience with Army operational data environments or readiness analytics is a plus
• Military or DoD civilian experience valued but not required
